Colby's surgery goes well. Jon breathes a little easier when he hears, but still. It bothers him that he can't be home any sooner; the business trip had been extended so he could visit a few other shareholders, tour offices, make sure everything's running to peak performance. The week drags but finally, finally he finds himself in the airport once more, this time to fly home. "Here I come," he mumbles, leaning back in his seat and closing his eyes to get some sleep on the long flight back to the States.

Colby is on crutches when he hobbles into the airport to wait for Jon. There's a taxi waiting for both of them, and he's pretty sure the driver's only waiting because he'd felt sympathy for the man with the bum knee going to pick up his friend. He smiles grimly and sits down in one of the chairs with a sigh, glad to be out of the house. Rehab hasn't begun in earnest yet, but it will soon, and then... well... He sighs, glad that Jon will be back for that. Both to take over the bulk of the work load, and to just be there to support him.

He sighs and taps his good foot against the tile floors before he hears footsteps behind him and a familiar hand clap against his shoulder. He jerks and twists to look up, grinning as soon as he sees that it's Jon. "Hey, man, you trying to give me a heart attack?" He's on his feet and giving Jon a hug within moments though. "How was the trip? Everything go alright?"

"Went fine," Jon shrugs. "How's the leg?"

"Healing slowly," Colby muses. "Starting rehab in a few days. You driving me?"

"Of course," Jon scoffs. "Whatever you need, just ask, you know that."

Colby grins. "Thanks. Really. Thank you so much for the calls and the texts and everything. Now come on, there's a taxi waiting outside and I'm not sure how long the driver's patience will last."

"Great, come on, limpy. Let's get out of here." Jon claps Colby on the back and guides him out of the airport, glaring warningly at anyone who gets too close to his crutches.

Once they're inside the running vehicle, Colby sighs and rolls his head towards Jon. "I'm glad you're back."

"I'm glad I am too," Jon says. "Who's gonna keep you from tripping over your own crutches?"

"Haha," Colby huffs, sticking his tongue out at Jon before giving in and laughing. "Idiot."
