Retrospect
Saturday, 11 July 2015 17:58Nathan Ross stares up at the business he'd left behind a few weeks ago to offer charitable help overseas, drawn by horrible news reports. He'd already gotten an earful about the various dramas going on within the company, so he crosses his arms behind his back and walks inside, ready to wade right in.
The usual bustle greets him, a few people throwing smiles his way. He tries to be a hands-on boss but usually keeps to himself, the company and its workers more than competent at holding their own. Which gives him the freedom for other projects, to use his riches for good.
He's just nodded at his assistant, Paul, turning to enter his office when he runs straight into someone. Stumbles back and listens to the young man's desperate apologies, more fixated on the barely held back emotions on his face. Intern then, he muses. "Well, hello there."
